For Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates to practice in the UK we must be registered with The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). In 2016 the NMC introduced a new measuring process REVALIDATION.
This compulsory process has strict criteria that must be met prior to renewing our registration. Nursing regulation and revalidation, after every 3 years, not only ensures that Nurses and Midwives are practicing safely but also that every patient in the UK has the best nursing care at their disposal.
